FOUNDATION-ONLY PERMITS

From March through November, you can expect to wait 4 weeks plus for your plans to be reviewed. If you need to begin construction sooner, it is possible to obtain a "fast-track" foundation-only permit so that you can begin building your foundation before your plans are approved. In order to pull a foundation-only permit, the complete set of plans must be designed and stamped by a structural engineer, all of the required sign-offs must be obtained, and the total fees must be paid, including an additional "fast-track" fee of $450. You must still submit one set of engineered stamped completed building plans. You will not be issued a foundation-only permit if you have only foundation plans. This is merely a way of getting ahead of our system, not your own. Please be aware that only a grading & excavation permit, which is issued within approximately 15 days, is needed to excavate and form footings. If you will not be ready to place concrete before your plans are approved, you do not need a foundation-only permit.
Foundation only permits are not issued within the Town of Dillon.
